Domestic Adoption Services
Thousands of people who have adopted children through Bethany have found that adoption is a positive way to build a family. For Christians struggling with infertility or who want to enlarge their family circle, adoption is not second best. It is simply one way that God in His wisdom can choose for us to be parents.

Recognizing that adoption involves the emotions and expectations of many people, Bethany's professional staff balance the needs of birthparents who desire to play an active role in choosing their child's adoptive parents, while helping adoptive parents understand and prepare for adoption. Through the entire process we work to achieve our mutual goal of a secure placement in the best interest of the child.

Independent Adoption Services
There are numerous ways to adopt. Designated or independent adoption involves birthparents and an adoptive family who come to Bethany Christian Services together desiring assistance with the adoptive placement.

Minnesota Waiting Children Program
Can you parent a waiting child?

Believing that all children deserve a home, Bethany finds permanent homes for children with even the most difficult placement needs. Bethany is contracted by the state of Minnesota to provide free services to families who wish to adopt these waiting children. Please contact one of the adoption specialists at the Bethany Christian Services office in Plymouth for additional information, they'll be more than happy to assist you.

Birthparent Counseling

Bethany Christian Services provides counseling to women dealing with unplanned pregnancies, their companions and their families. Our caring, trained and experienced professional counselors will help birthparents better understand themselves and their responsibilities, and help families rebuild relationships.


Foster Care
Bethany Christian Services recruits, trains and licenses foster parents who provide safe, temporary homes for newborn infants whose birthparents are struggling with difficult decisions regarding adoption planning. Interim foster care allows birthparents the time they need to be sure that the decision they make is the right one for themselves and for their child.

Volunteer Opportunities
Bethany has a number of volunteer opportunities that allow families to support pro-life choices in positive and life-changing ways. If you would like to learn more about how you can support our ministry, please contact our office.
