Adam and Andrea - Kalamazoo, Michigan

Dear Birthparent (s),

Thank you so much for taking some time to learn about our family. We can only imagine the amount of emotions you are feeling at this time. Please know how much we admire you and your courage in making the choice of adoption. We realize how much you care about your child and that your decision was made out of great love for them. Your child will always know how much you love him or her. We are praying for you, for God’s peace, strength and love to be in you and with you. Again, thank you and God bless you.

Our names are Adam and Andrea. We met in 1995 when we were seventeen. We became friends, started dating a year later and were married on July 17, 1999. Adam and I are both 28. As a couple (and family), we enjoy spending time with friends, going to new restaurants, watching movies, traveling and taking walks. We currently live in a comfortable home in a nice family friendly neighborhood. We are only two blocks from an elementary school with a great playground! We attend a Non Denominational church that we love. We have amazing friends there that are a great support to us. We are both involved in various church activities. Our faith and belief in God is a priority to us and in the way we raise our family.

Adam works from home full time as a Consultant. He is a wonderful husband and amazing father. Our daughter, Eliana, is definitely a daddy’s girl. They have a great relationship and spend a lot of time together playing and having fun. Adam is very kind, loyal, hardworking and compassionate. He has one brother and one sister who live close by and his parents live about two hours away, we see them all regularly. Adam loves spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite things to do are playing softball, basketball, golf and any other sports activity.

Andrea has been blessed to be able to stay home with our four year old daughter. It is very important to us that she can be home and we plan to do the same for our next child. Andrea has dreamed of being a mom since she was little. She is a wonderful mother and has a very special relationship with our daughter. They are so close and have a great time together playing, shopping, reading and learning new things. Andrea’s family is very close and is a big part of her life. She has three brothers, two live in a different state and the other is about two hours away. We all keep in touch through visits, calls and emails. Her parents live only two blocks away and we see them a few times a week. Andrea is a very loving, patient and funny person. She loves being with friends, reading, taking pictures and being creative.

Eliana is a very happy, funny, loving, and smart four year old. She is a joy to be around and is always making us laugh. She loves preschool, gymnastics class, playing with dolls and stuffed animals and she has an amazing imagination. Eliana is very excited about adopting a new brother or sister and prays for the baby every night! She will be a great big sister.

We always wanted to have children. We had our daughter naturally four years ago and when we decided to try again, we were unsuccessful. Our decision to adopt actually started long before that, when we went on a mission trip. Ten years ago, we visited an orphanage and fell in love with the kids. We knew then that one day we would adopt. When getting pregnant didn’t work, we spent time praying about what to do next. After lots of prayer, we decided that adoption is the way we are meant to grow our family. We have complete support and excitement from our families and friends. Everyone is looking forward to having a new baby to love. We feel so blessed to be on this journey.

Adam and I would love to have the opportunity to talk to you. We are so glad you decided to look at our profile and hope you’ll catch a glimpse inside our lives! Our prayers are with you.

Grace and Peace,
Adam, Andrea and Eliana
