Post Adoption


Adoption is a journey, an exciting and usually joyful one, as is any kind of parenting. As on any journey, there will be questions, some of which are very specific to adoption and some of which pertain to any parent or adoptee. Bethany Christian Services of Wisconsin recognizes that this is a lifelong journey, and desires to provide ongoing workshops and events to assist children and families in their journey.

Workshop Fees for Non-Bethany Families: $25 per unit per hour (1 unit = couple or single parent)

Bethany Christian Services of Wisconsin now has over 800 adoption and multicultural books and resources available for families to check out from our Waukesha and Fond du Lac offices. Come explore our resources and enjoy an evening of fellowship, snacks, and story time!


From Understanding to Hope: The Journey Through Life With Your Adopted Child

Among our greatest hopes for our children is that they will be joyful, loving members of our families, and that they will have lives filled with contentment and meaningful relationships. For many parents this hope seems beyond reach. Dr. Karyn Purvis, an internationally recognized adoption expert and co-author of The Connected Child: Bringing Hope and Healing to Your Adoptive Family, will speak on: The Adventure of a Lifetime, The Attachment Dance, Sensory Integration and the Behavior Connection, and Putting it All Together.


Celebrate Adoption With Style

Join us for our second annual celebrate adoption with style. This event honors and celebrates families created through adoption with a fashion show, silent auction, and luncheon. Models for the event are children who have been adopted through Bethany. Proceeds for the event will go to expanding Bethany’s Post Adoption Services.
