Volunteer

  • Administrative and Technical Skills -data entry, answering phones, prepare mailings, copying, filing, assembling application and educational packets.
  • Birthmother Support - take birthmothers to appointments, help connect them with social services, offer emotional support.
  • Church Outreach - arrange speaking opportunities to recruit parents for international, domestic, and special needs children. Help to establish a news letter or email note to the churches with praise reports and prayer concerns. Staff a booth at mission outreach or Sanctity of Life Sunday.
  • Research and Writing Skills - work with the Director to develop proposals and identify foundations that might support our efforts. Write articles for publication in Bethany’s Lifeline Magazine and other adoption publications.
  • Special Events - arrange an international dinner to celebrate adoption. Assist with the annual Bethany picnic and celebration for children. Assist with our fundraising auction or event. Secure donated items, invite friends, come and bid.
  • Bake for an event or bring in a treat for couples who are attending our adoption education program.
  • Support our staff on our annual retreat. Do you have a quiet location or would you treat us to a day in the mountains?
  • Community Relations and Marketing – send us information on community events in which Bethany may participate. Be willing to staff a booth or help with arrangements.
