Meet the Staff


Precious Arnold, MA, LMHC, Director
Precious Arnold came to Bethany in the spring of 2009 with a passion for increasing community awareness regarding women facing unplanned pregnancy and the option of adoption. With more than two years of previous experience in coordinating a local domestic adoption program and over five years of experience in counseling, Precious became the director after first serving as an adoption specialist. Currently a licensed mental health counselor, Precious is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a master’s degree in psychology.


J. Cheree Moore, MS, Pregnancy Counselor
In the fall of 2009, Cheree Moore joined the Bethany team as a part-time pregnancy counselor. Cheree is a graduate of the University of Mobile, with a master’s degree in counseling: marriage and family therapy. She came to Bethany with more than three years of experience in adoption and over ten years of experience counseling individuals, families, and people facing unplanned pregnancies. Cheree and her husband, Brian, are the parents of two children, one whom they adopted.



Anne Poulsen, BA, Adoption Specialist
In the spring of 2010, Anne Poulsen joined the Bethany team as an adoption specialist. Anne has a passion for orphan care and adoption and also the experience of navigating the adoption process. She and her husband, Chris, welcomed a son home from China in December 2006. Anne has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of West Florida.



Joanna Smallwood, Administrative Assistant
Joanna came to Bethany Christian Services in the spring of 2010. Her background includes work as a legal assistant, and she brings many years of experience in customer service. Joanna feels privileged to be a part of Bethany’s mission because she enjoys serving the Lord and being available to help others in need. She enjoys vacations with her family, spending time outdoors, and loves to dine out with family or friends.
