 Volunteer Opportunities
Bethany of Hampton Roads is a Christian ministry that is dependent on the kindness of caring friends and supporters. Listed below are some opportunities for service:
- Transporter - provide transportation for a pregnant client to and from doctor’s appointments or counseling sessions.
- Special Friend - provide emotional support to a young woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy: take her out to lunch, transport her to appointments, etc.
- Shepherding Home Family - A Christian family who provides a loving and supportive environment for a young, pregnant woman in which to live during her pregnancy.
- Interim Foster Care Family - A Christian family who provides a loving, nurturing home for a newborn infant allowing birthparents the time they need to be sure that the decision they make is the right one for their baby and themselves.
In addition, Bethany welcomes volunteers to help with clerical work in our office, to serve as a liaison between your church and Bethany Christian Services, to help with public relations or serve on our speaker's bureau, to help with fundraising and special events, to be a prayer partner, and/or to be a financial partner. Volunteers are also people who serve on our Board of Directors.
