Intercountry Adoption
Bethany Christian Services has adoption programs with various countries around the world including;
China,
Hong Kong,
Philippines,
South Korea,
Colombia,
Guatemala,
Lithuania,
Ukraine,
Russia,
Kosovo, Uzbekistan, and
Haiti. Our office also provides home assessment and post placement services on a contract basis for families who are working with another agency or using other resources to locate a child.

- Attend an Information Meeting (not required but recommended)
- Submit a Preliminary Application
- Answer Pre-Clearance Questions
- Meet with Social Worker to collect home study paperwork
- Submit Formal Application
- Home Assessment with Social Worker
- Submit Dossier
- Meet Educational Requirements
- Receive Referral
- Travel
- Post Placement Visits
Who can adopt?
Families who can provide a stable, nurturing, and secure environment for a child are welcome applicants. At least one applicant must be a US Citizen and all applicants should be over 25 years of age. Please
request an information packet for detailed information to find out the specific requirements for each country.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available: adoption tax credit, various grant organizations, adoption loan programs, and creative fundraising ideas.
