Bethany offers a full range of services to make the dream of adopting an infant come true for your family. In the past twenty years, we have placed approximately 500 children in families in Southeastern Wisconsin. We offer information meetings in Waukesha, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Appleton locations. After attending a meeting, you are invited to submit a formal application. An adoption worker will meet with your family to become well-acquainted and help you become educated on adoption issues.
Types of Adoption
After you have chosen an adoption facilitator, you need to ask yourselves, “What kind of relationship do we want to have with our child’s adoptive family?” The best way to answer that question is to learn as much as you can about the three options for adoption plans: open, semi-open, or confidential (closed).
Full counseling services are provided to birthparents who complete extensive social and medical histories of themselves and their families. You will have the opportunity for a meeting with your child's birthparents that is facilitated by our staff. Your confidentiality is always respected. We also assist families with independent, stepparent, and relative adoptions.
Bethany also places infants and children with special physical or emotional needs into Christian adoptive homes. Our team of caring, experienced professionals understands and works with every aspect of adoption including pre-placement, placement and post-placement services.
