Tim and Tracey - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania
Hi, our names are Tim and Tracey. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about our family. We are high school sweethearts who have been together for 25 years. This fall we celebrated our eighteenth wedding anniversary and look forward to sharing many more.
Seven years ago, after enduring extensive infertility treatments, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter, Malena. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have her: she has brought us such joy, yet our family does not seem to be complete. God has called upon us to open our hearts and home to become adoptive parents and so our journey begins.
We are happy to say that even though we have faced several trials over the past few years our marriage is stronger than ever. We are best friends and lovers who have a deep, mutual respect for each other, our daughter and our family unit as a whole. We enjoy living a simple, relaxed kind of life, where spending time together as a family is a top priority. Taking trips together to nearby farms to pick fruit, going to the beach, exploring the nearby zoo and aquariums, going on picnics, playing at the nearby parks or simply cuddling up together to watch a movie or read a book is what we cherish the most.
We were both raised in loving Christian homes, so faith has always been a part of our lives. Over the past few years that faith has deepened and grown. It is our goal to raise our children to be Christians, so that they too can develop their own sense of faith in God and Jesus Christ.
Tim
Tim is an honest, gentle, quiet man with a great sense of humor. He is a loving, wonderful father who makes spending time with his wife, daughter, and extended family a top priority. I know Tim is looking forward to doting on another child, and I am confident that he will show the same level of love, devotion, and attention to your child.
Since graduating from college, Tim has been employed in the insurance industry as an actuary. All through school Tim participated in a number of sports including, soccer, tennis, skiing, softball and golf. These days when time permits, he enjoys working on genealogical research, playing golf and softball, and spending time outdoors helping me with the gardens. Tim is the youngest of four children, having 2 sisters and one brother.
Tracey
Tracey is a loving mother and wife who has a wonderfully independent, passionate spirit. Making sure that those around her feel loved and secure is a priority for her. She is a loving mother, who showers our daughter with endless hugs and kisses. Since the birth of our daughter, she has made it a priority to make sure that Malena’s life has been filled with love, fun, and a variety of learning experiences. I have no doubt that Tracey would be a terrific mom to your child. Her caring nature mixed with a good sense of humor makes her a truly special person.
After graduating from college, Tracey taught art grades 4-12 for five years. Today she is a full time stay at home mom. Her creative interests range from drawing, landscape painting and creating ceramic pieces to playing music on the organ. In addition, Tracey loves to do genealogical research, browse antique stores, decorate, read, sew and garden. Tracey is the youngest of two children.
Malena
Our daughter Malena is a delightfully bright, inquisitive, extremely caring 7 year old. Even at this tender age she seems to possess a warm, natural mothering nature. Malena is eager to extend a helping hand to others, especially younger children. She has many things that she hopes to share with, do for, or teach her baby brother or sister. She longs to be a big sister, and those who know her agree that she will be an incredibly loving one.
Our Home
Our home is a four bedroom center hall colonial situated on a 2-acre lot, half of which is wooded. Part of our backyard is fenced in and has a new wooden swing set, sandbox, and numerous gardens. Our development is moderately sized in a rather quiet rural area. The majority of the families have numerous children of various ages. One of the reasons we chose this house was because the school district has an excellent reputation. In addition, a variety of parks, libraries, and other community resources are easily accessible. One park is located directly across from our housing development.
No description of a home is complete without including the pets. We have a fish tank and an eleven year-old dog named India. India is our lovable, seventeen pound “furry baby” who is very comfortable around small children. She and Malena are best of friends and love to play together.
We hope that this letter has provided you with a clear picture of who we are as individuals, as well as what we cherish as a family. We realize that this is an extremely difficult time for you as you try to make some very important decisions for you and your baby. We would like you to know that we would offer your child the same love, happiness, sense of security, and opportunities that we would provide for any child that God chooses to bring into our lives, whether biological or adopted. We would also like to offer you the chance to work with us to create a semi-open or open adoption plan that would be comfortable for all involved. Contact could be as simple as exchanging pictures, letters, or emails. If over time you would like to expand the degree of openness we would welcome such a discussion. We strongly believe that this type of adoption could provide not only you, but also your child and their adoptive family, with a lasting connection based on love.
We would welcome the opportunity to talk, or meet with you so we all might have the chance to get to know each other a little better and answer any questions that you might have.
Wishing you and your child all the best,
Tim and Tracey
