Debbie Cordell
Office Manager

Debbie has been on staff 7 years and provides administrative oversigh for support services and accounting services for the branch. She also assists the International adoptive families with their dossiers and immigration paperwork.



Peggy Lowe, MSW, LMSW
Branch Director

Peggy has served clients and families as a Bethany caseworker for over 20 years. Peggy provides administrative and clinical oversight of the local office, public relations, fund raising, and working with local board.



Gloria Gerow, BA
Birthparent Counselor

Gloria has an earned degree in Psychology and has provided birthparent counseling services for over 20 years. Gloria also oversees shepherding and interim care homes and does some home assessment and post-adoptive supervision for domestic adopting families.



Roseanne Key, BA
Counselor

Roseanne Key has worked for 15 years in the field of adoption counseling with birth families and preparing adoptive families for both domestic and international adoption. She has done pre and post placement adoption education and counseling. She is currently doing orientation, home studies and post placement supervision with adoptive families in Bethany’s domestic and international adoption program and for contract adoptions.

Amy Scott

Amy Scott, MA
International Coordinator

Amy oversees our intercountry adoption program. Prior to coming to Bethany, she worked in the corporate world and in ministry to young women and families. Amy has a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. She is responsible for the orientation, education, assessment and post adoption supervision of families for intercountry adoption.



Loretta Quarcoo, BS
Safe Families for Children Coordinator

Loretta has worked in the field of foster care and adoption for 16 years as a program administrator and teaching PATH classes, crisis intervention ,parenting and life skills. She works with recruiting and training host families for the Safe families program and matching the families in need with a safe family to host their children while they resolve their crisis.

Lesley Schmidt

Lesley Schmidt,LCSW
Post Adoption Services and ADOPTS clinician

Lesley has 11 years experience in crisis intervention and individual and group therapy in both in patient and out patient settings. She has received special training in the ADOPTS model of treatment for adopted children who have experienced trauma and is directing this program for the Chattanooga office.
