I have worked for Bethany since 1996. I was employed as a birthparent counselor for 3 years before accepting my current position as Education Coordinator in the abstinence education program. As a counselor, I saw firsthand the consequences and issues faced by men and women due to sexual activity outside of marriage. These included pregnancy, and in some cases, sexual transmitted diseases as well as emotional pain to my clients. Therefore, I have a passion for prevention and abstinence until marriage. I enjoy working with youth and truly desire that they make healthy choices for a successful future!

I am the Program Planner for Teen Legacy, our abstinence education program. After teaching High School and Middle School Science for five years, I wanted to address teens on issues they struggle with on a regular basis. Our society often assumes teens do not have the ability to say no to sex before marriage. I believe that they can and will if we raise the standards and give them the information they need to make healthy decisions.
