Hi, We are Jeff and Laura. We would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you for making Life your choice. We think that you are showing enormous love and courage in making an adoption plan. We admire the great amount of love you are showing for your unborn child. We know that the decision is not an easy one, and we will be praying for you in this difficult time.

We began our adoption journey due to infertility issues. We were given some medical options but we really felt led to create our family through adoption. We will be completely open and honest with the child we adopt. They will know that we were chosen to be their parents. They will know that their choices their birthfamily made was done out of love for them.

We think that education is very important. We will do our best to provide a well rounded education. For us this means providing a Christian school and plenty of learning experiences outside the school setting. We both believe that it is important for children to be able to explore their interests. Our responsibility as parents will be to allow them to discover their interests and to help them develop those interests in a safe and loving environment.

Family is important to us. We love spending time together and we are looking forward to doing things as a family.

Laura: My mom and dad have been married for 40 years. I have a younger brother, I talk to my parents several time a week. Joe and I communicate mostly through the internet. Jeff and I try to make it back home 3 or 4 times a year. When we do go home, it is a family event. My aunts, uncles and cousins, who live in the area, also come to visit.

Jeff: My parents have been married 40 years also. They only live about two hours away so we get to visit them often. I am the oldest of three boys. We are all big sports fans. We all played football, baseball, and basketball. My youngest brother was even a nationally ranked BMX racer, who appeared on ESPN. I have two nephews and two nieces who range in age from 3 to 12. I also have lots of relatives that live close by including Grandma, 4 aunts, an uncle, several cousins and their families.

We share our three-bedroom house with our cat, Gordy. Gordy is completely spoiled and thinks he is human. We bought the house 2 years ago and immediately started redecorating. Most of our projects so far have been achieved using paint and trim, but we have tackled 2 big projects. We added a brick patio in the back yard. We also completely rebuilt the family room in the basement. Our most recent project has been getting the nursery ready. We are refinishing some furniture, and have painted a Winnie the Pooh mural on the walls. We really like our neighborhood. It is a nice quiet place to live. We have been having a great time turning our house into a warm inviting home.

When we are not working on our house we are pursuing one of our many other interests.

We like history. We like to visit historical places and re-enactments. We really like going to Renaissance fairs. We participate in several fairs each year.

We also love books, art, and music. Sometimes we hang out at the book store or library. We go to art museums and events. When we have time we like to do ceramics and other art projects. We like to go to concerts, musicals, and the ballet. Jeff’s youngest niece is really into dance this year so we are hoping to take her with us this Christmas to see the Nutcracker. We both played musical instruments in our younger days.

We like to travel. We take several long weekend trips each year, and we try to squeeze in one vacation. We think it is important to get away from the every day and spend some quality family time.
