Pregnancy Counseling
At Bethany, you will find a trained, experienced counselor to help you look at all the issues and options open to you. We will also invite you to consider an adoption plan as a responsible, loving, and mature decision that has the best interest of your child in mind.

Bethany will provide medical and legal referrals for you and, when appropriate, we can provide up to 30 days of
free interim care for your infant while you are finalizing your decision about adoption or parenting. Interim care homes are approved and supervised nurturing homes in which a loving family cares for infants, giving birthparents more time to think about their decision. The period after a child's birth can be a difficult, emotional period for birthparents, and we encourage you to take time to be sure of your decision. You may visit your child during the interim stay.

Birthmothers may also be eligible for state public assistance and TennCare. Referrals for housing and other assistance can also be made.

The Bethany staff are committed to making a positive difference for anyone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

Pregnancy Counseling Support Services
If you are a young person considering a plan for your baby’s future or if you faced an unplanned pregnancy at some point, you are invited to participate in a
free support group. You will meet other parents who either are facing or have faced a situation much like your own. You will be able to discuss your experience and share your thoughts and feelings with your peers.

For information about support group meetings, please contact Bethany’s Knoxville office at 865.588.5283, or fill out our
