For Adoptive Parents
Bethany’s domestic and international adoption programs were created out of a need to provide children with placements in adoptive Christian families. Bethany of Illinois has been instrumental in facilitating over 400 adoptions in the past decade.
Domestic Adoption
Our domestic adoption program seeks to recruit and prepare families for children whose birthparents have made an adoption plan. These children may be under Bethany’s guardian ship or referred by the state agency for placement with adoptive families. Many of the children in the state’s care are drug exposed, physically challenged, or have other special medical conditions that place them in a special needs category. The majority of these children are infants.

The international program places children from South Korea, Colombia, and China with Christian families. Bethany helps potential adoptive parents meet the specific requirements of the child’s country of origin as well as their own state residency requirements. International adoption allows Bethany to serve a broader base of families in keeping with Christian principles.
