Paul and Tara - Newark, Delaware

PLACEMENT!!

Welcome to our family…

We’re Paul and Tara.

Thank you for opening your heart to our profile and taking the time to learn more about our family. As we can only imagine how difficult this all must be, please know that you are in our prayers. No matter the outcome, we wish only the best for you and your child.

Something about us as a couple … we met 10 years ago through a Christian matchmaking website. What began as a friendship, through emails and phone calls, blossomed into a romantic relationship. We dated for a year, became engaged, and were married a few months later with all of our family and friends gathered round. It was the most amazing day of our lives! The beginning of a new life together. We have now been happily married for over 8 years.

Paul… is the most amazing man I’ve ever met. I’m SO proud to have him as my husband. There are a ton of things that I love about him, but I’ll only share a few. One of the things I love about him is that he loves the Lord, with all his heart and soul. He has such integrity and loyalty; I respect him greatly for that. He is also a servant at heart. This is an area in which God has truly gifted him. He would willingly give the shirt off his back to someone in need. If he would do that for someone he doesn’t know, imagine how he treats his family, friends, and those he loves. Another area that I really admire in him is how intelligent he is. He hungers to keep learning, and then takes great pleasure in sharing what he has learned with me. The last quality I’ll mention is his incredible sense of humor. He’s always making people laugh – especially kids, they gravitate towards him because of his playful spirit. For these reasons (and many more I haven’t listed) I know he will be a wonderful father to the baby God is preparing for our family.

Tara… there are so many wonderful and beautiful qualities about my wife. It’s almost impossible to describe her in a paragraph. To begin with, she’s the best thing that ever happened to me! We balance each other out so perfectly that only God could have brought us together. Aside from the fact that she is sweet, funny and friendly, she is also dedicated to whatever she does, whether for work, church or friends. She has great talent in the kitchen (everything she cooks has to be from scratch) and with crafts (she loves scrapbooking). Plus, she is a well-organized planner, as she loves to put parties, gatherings and events together. She is very involved with our church, from attending Bible study classes to being on the Women’s Ministry committee, but her true passion lies with children, as she teaches the little ones on Sunday mornings. Her love for children is undeniable and it shows through the care and attention she gives to each one. She would undoubtedly make a great mother and I pray for the day when God will bless us with a child.

Our home… is full of love and laughter. We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath house with a fenced in yard in a nice development. There is a recreational park across the street where we see lots of children playing sports, riding bikes, and participating in other activities. We have four adorable little pups (who total 40 lbs all together); Bella, Abby, Nutmeg and Sunshine. They are very used to and actually love being around children, as we have young nieces and nephews. We love watching sporting events, taking walks, playing with our pups, spending time with friends and family, being involved in church activities and just enjoying the life that God has blessed us with.

Our church… is a Southern Baptist Church, where we are very involved in various ministries. It is also the place where we met our closest friends who have grown to be one of our greatest support systems.

Our extended family… is full of grandparents, sisters, brothers, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces who are all eagerly anticipating the new addition to our family. We live just a few hours away from the majority of our family so we get together quite often for birthdays, holidays and family gatherings. Tara’s brother and two sisters are a few of her closest friends and Paul feels the same about his two brothers.

Our hope… is that you can truly see how much love is a part of our family from this brief letter. We admire the courage required to make this decision and pray that God fills your heart with peace during this time. Please know that we will always make sure to tell your child how much you love her/him and would love to share pictures and updates with you. We are excited to learn more about you and your family.

Sincerely,
Paul and Tara
