Bethany Christian Services of Georgia provides independent and/ or identified adoption services through both our domestic and international programs.

DOMESTIC
Domestic Independent / Identified Services can be provided to married couples who just need a home study assessment completed and are already working with an attorney or agency other than Bethany for the placement of a child in their home for adoption. This may also be an option for couples who are not eligible for Bethany’s full Domestic Infant Adoption Program. Georgia requires a home study for all adoptions facilitated by an agency and for interstate adoptions that move a child from one state to another (some close relative adoptions are excluded). Many attorneys also require a home study for private adoptions. We can usually complete your home study assessment within two weeks of your submission of all of the required paperwork.

INTERNATIONAL
International Independent / Identified Services can be provided to applicants who need a home study assessment completed and are working with an agency other than Bethany for the placement of a child born overseas in their home for adoption. This may also be an option for applicants who are not eligible for Bethany’s full International Adoption Program. Bethany can work with applicants pursuing international adoption from a variety of countries, not just those in which Bethany has its own full international program.
