C.A.R.E.S. (Center for Adoption Resources, Education, and Support)
Building a family through adoption involves unique challenges. Those touched by adoption can experience issues and concerns which can be addressed through education, support, and problem solving. We believe it is important to support adoptive families with ongoing services after the adoption is finalized to ensure not only a healthy beginning but lifelong adoptive family wellness.
In an effort to support families throughout the adoption experience, Bethany offers an array of services, such as the following:
Post-Adoption Counseling
Families have access to short-term counseling, crisis response and, if necessary, a referral source for follow-up.
Search and Reunion Services
Search and reunion services are offered to adoptive persons and birthparents who are processing adoption issues and have need of contact with each other.
Workshops and Seminars
C.A.R.E.S. adoption support workshops and seminars address issues and concerns related to adoption. These workshops are designed to provide education and resources for adoptive families as well as professionals.
Adoption Mediation
Bethany offers services to help adoptive and birthfamilies with issues involving their children and the adoption process.
