Al and Amy - Lancaster, Pennsylvania
PLACEMENT!!
Dear Expectant Parent,
Introduction: Hello, our names are Amy, Al, and Hannah and we want to thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and consider us as the family for your precious child. We are currently a family comprised of one creative, fun, and very inquisitive daughter, and two responsible, nurturing parents who greatly desire to have a second child as part of their family. We would love to welcome your child into our loving home… a place where he or she will find a fostering environment filled with happiness, friends, family, faith, and a whole lot of love! Please know that we are thinking about you and praying for you. We sympathize with what you must be going through, with your daily challenges and fears, and understand that this is one of the most difficult decisions to face. We want you to know that we admire and respect you for loving your baby so much that you would consider his/her future with an adoptive family. We want you to be assured that if you choose us as an adoptive family, we will promise to provide unconditional love to your child with all our hearts and soul. Whatever you decide, we pray for only the best for you and your child.
Our Marriage: A mutual friend introduced us nine years ago. We fell in love and have been married for almost seven wonderful years. We are each other’s best friend, most trusted companion, and really enjoy one another’s company. We both come from loving homes where family is a top priority and always knew that someday we wanted to start a family of our own. After trying to conceive without success, we began seeking medical help and were told that we would not be able to have any biological children. Initially, we were heartbroken to hear this news, since we really desire to have children; however, it did not take us long to realize that adoption is God’s special plan and blessing for us in our path to parenthood. We received the greatest blessing when our daughter was placed into our arms in August 2006 when she was four days old. Hannah was adopted through Bethany. We will always be extremely grateful for her loving birthmother and have much respect for her. We have an incredible amount of love in our hearts for our daughter and we wish to share that love with another child. We are thrilled about creating a lifetime of memories together as a family.
Al about Amy: I can’t say enough about Amy. She is an outstanding mother who is loveable, kind, and nurturing. Amy, in one-way or another, has devoted her life to children. She graduated from college with a degree in art education and taught elementary art for nine years before becoming a stay at home mother. Now, Amy loves to do art projects with Hannah! Creativity is always flowing in our home. Amy is very thankful for being able to stay home and raise our children. She enjoys photography, exercising, cooking, traveling, scrapbooking, interior design, and spending time with family and friends. At this point in Amy’s life, there is nothing more that she wants than to give Hannah a brother or sister. As she does with Hannah, she will devote her energy and attention toward raising another child with affection, kindness, and love.
Amy about Al: Al is not only my best friend, but a terrific husband and father! His great sense of humor was one of the first things that attracted me to him and he really knows how to make me laugh. In addition, he is friendly, intelligent, creative, thoughtful, dependable, and hard working. He is a college graduate and a successful senior manager in the business consulting area of a highly desirable professional services firm. In his free time, Al enjoys woodworking and has created and restored furniture for our home. He also enjoys exercising, sailing, cooking, traveling, and working on house projects. Al likes spending time with his friends and family. Most importantly, Al is an excellent father to Hannah! He is very reliable, fun, and loving. Daddy and Hannah have such a great time playing together ~ whether throwing a ball, looking at books, or playing outside, laughter can always be heard when they are together! They truly adore each other! Al is the kind of father who will always make his children feel safe, secure, special, and loved. Hannah and I are so blessed to have him in our lives.
Our Daughter – Hannah: Hannah is a beautiful little girl who is adored by all who know her. She is a little sweet heart full of love, energy, curiosity, and laughter. She brings so much joy to our lives! She will be an excellent big sister because of her love for babies and children, along with her kind and friendly demeanor. Amy and Hannah belong to a Mom and Tots playgroup at our church and also participate in a story time group at our local library. In addition, Hannah enjoys playing with her cousins and young neighborhood children. Some of her other favorite activities include looking at books, drawing pictures, playing with her baby dolls, building Lego towers, and playing her little piano. It is so amazing to see her excitement as she learns and makes new discoveries.
Our Home: We live in a two story, four-bedroom house located in a small community. Our neighborhood is very desirable, quiet, and safe, with lots of friendly neighbors and children. We have made our home warm and welcoming, as we greatly enjoy decorating and doing home improvements. We really look forward to creating a charming room for your child. We also love to cook and entertain, so our family celebrates many holidays with us at our home. Additionally, the schools in the area where we live are excellent. Education is very important to us, so we are intending to provide the best education possible for our children. We will help them to succeed in school and encourage them to pursue their interests, passions, hopes, and dreams.
Our Travels: We cherish the time we have to spend together on vacation. We especially enjoy visiting places that are new to us and have been to a variety of locations. Some of our favorite experiences include walking on a beach in Aruba with flamingoes, seeing the colorful, tropical fish while snorkeling near St. John, and shopping in St. Thomas. We also enjoy visiting historical sites and had a wonderful time touring old mansions in New Port, Rhode Island. We are looking forward to taking our children on vacations and outings with us to many new and exciting places. We wish to provide as many interesting experiences as possible for our children and show them all of the beauty that life has to offer.
Our Goals as Parents: We consider ourselves very blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity to adopt Hannah and to be given the chance to adopt another precious child. Family is the most important thing in the world to us and we have created a loving and secure home for our children. We are fun, loving, caring, and nurturing parents. We want our children to understand their adoption story, and instill at an early age how special they are since it means that many caring people have touched their lives in a wonderful and loving way. We will always respect our children’s individuality and nurture their development to the best of our ability. Most of all, we desire to give our children a very happy and healthy life full of adventure, family, faith, friends, laughter, and love.
Thank You: Our hearts are ready and waiting to welcome a second child into our lives to make our family complete. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and considering us as a possible adoptive family. We want you to know that we would cherish and love your child with all of our hearts. Having the opportunity to parent and love another child is something about which we are very excited! Each day, we strive to be the best parents possible. We sympathize with how difficult this decision must be for you and really would like to assist you in your journey as you plan for your baby’s future. We anxiously look forward to meeting you and are praying for you and your baby. May the grace of God give you peace and comfort as you make your decision.
God Bless – Al, Amy and Hannah
