Chris and Karen - Bellingham, Washington

Dear Expectant Mother and Expectant Father,

Thank you for spending some time to get to know us. We will not pretend to know what you are going through. We pray that God will help you in this decision.

We have been married for 10 years. We have recently moved to a new development in an area surrounded by mountains and dairy farms. It is a small, friendly community with many young children. Our house is walking distance to a grammar school and a park. We have a super friendly dog with big floppy ears that loves children.

Chris is a handy man. His day job is at an auto dealership as the Internet manager. So after being at a desk all day staring at a computer screen he enjoys coming home to work on projects. He just finished building a fence for our side yard a few weeks ago. Chris is also a very creative person. He enjoys singing, playing musical instruments, cooking and working on the house. He is currently teaching himself to play the guitar. He is a wonderful father to our son, Christian. He shows patience, calm and empathy even during those rough toddler moments.

Karen is a stay at home mom. We struggled with the idea of her going to work and we decided that staying home to raise our child was far more important. Karen is wise beyond her years. She is funny and very logical. After 25 years knowing each other we are still very much in love. Karen keeps a ship shape house. She does most of the cooking and Chris helps out on weekends. Her love has no boundaries. Christian and Karen visit the local aquatic center for a swim, visit the children's museum, take classes through the local community college, walk to the park and many other activities to keep them active. Karen didn't much care for cooking until Christian starting eating table foods and it has now become one of her passions.

Christian is an active, happy boy. He loves to play outdoors and has the muscles to prove it. He will be the best big brother any child could have. His love is boundless. He can be shy at times but does enjoy playing with other children. He is quite gentle around children that are much younger than him.

Chris and Karen come from hard working families and were both taught a strong work ethic along with strong family values. We were both raised in multicultural families.
