Bethany offers the following FREE services for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy:
 Confidential Counseling
Are you or someone you know facing an unplanned pregnancy? Do you need someone to talk to and to learn about your options? You and your family will better understand how the pregnancy may affect your live. You will also be given information about resources available to you. If you decide to make an adoption plan, Bethany will help you with financial and medical support. In some instances, you may be eligible for state public assistance and Medicaid.
Shepherding Homes
If you need a place to live during your pregnancy, Bethany offers you the option of staying with a family that can assist you. A shepherding home is a family who provides a loving and supportive environment for you during your pregnancy. Please call us for more information.
Adoption Services
Would you like to learn more about adoption? The adoption process has changed dramatically over the last 10 years. You are now able to choose the adoptive family, meet with them, and have some sort of ongoing contact -- you choose the level of openness you desire.
If you already know of a family that you would like your infant placed with (called "designated adoption"), Bethany can help you with the legal aspect of placing your child with the chosen family. Please call us for more information.
Family Profiles
Families who choose to adopt through Bethany come to us for many different reasons. Regardless of their individual circumstances, these couples are committed to family and children. Interim Foster Care
Bethany will provide temporary care for your newborn while you make your decision to parent or make an adoption plan. In addition to providing lots of love and attention, the temporary foster care provider will transport your infant to visits, take pictures, follow up on medical care, and keep a record of his or her progress while in their care. Bethany is a private, non-profit, child-placing agency licensed by the state of South Carolina. Foster homes are licensed upon the agency's recommendation; therefore, interim foster care homes must meet the licensing requirements set by the state.
