Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and taking the challenge of choosing adoption for your child. You are facing an act of incredible self sacrifice. We admire your strength and courage in making this difficult decision in sharing God’s greatest treasure - your child.
Our house is full of laughter, love & life! God has blessed us with healthy bodies, a comfortable home, solid educations and profitable career choices. Julie is an IT Technician and Keith is a PE teacher. Add in a supportive and encouraging network of family and friends and we are ready to start a family. We live in a family style community with numerous neighborhood pools and parks within walking distance. Nights and weekend fun quickly fill up by working children’s ministry, attending bible studies, bike riding and anything to do with the ocean. It is an understatement to say we are an active couple. We enjoy getting up early for morning bike rides or strolls along the beach. One recent beach outing allowed us the privilege of seeing several dozen Loggerhead Turtles emerging from the sand making their way to the ocean for the first time - pretty cool!
Julie and I met while working in the hospitality industry. We became friends and really got to know each other before we took our relationship to the next level, and have now been together for over 12 years. Becoming friends first was truly a blessing, Julie completes me, we finish each others sentences, anticipate each others wants and thrive on fulfilling each others needs. Julie truly is my best friend. Her parents love me like a son and my parents think of Julie as their second daughter. I see God shine through her by her numerous kind daily acts. We both agreed, even before marriage, that we wanted children and that adoption was definitely an option. I know she will be an outstanding mother as we partner together in this new chapter of our lives.
Keith is a wonderful husband and my best friend. He is a kid at heart and loves to have fun. He is a dedicated teacher who is well liked by his students, co-workers and the children of our friends and family. Keith loves the outdoors and is always looking for some new activity. Despite his childlike qualities he is also intelligent, loving, kind and compassionate and is very funny and always making me laugh. He has a wonderful supportive family whom he holds in the highest regard. He also does more than his share of work around the house - he cleans, helps with the grocery shopping and of course is my go-to guy for fixing things.
Education will not be a problem since the school Keith works at has had an A+ rating for the past 8 years. We both have a college education and want the same for our children. Summer fun will be taken care of at our summer camp which supplements our income and will allow Julie to be a stay at home mom. We plan to start a college savings fund so our children will have the freedom to choose a college of their choice.
We look forward to sharing with our children our passion for swimming, fishing, bike riding, surfing, skiing, snorkeling, sailing, etc. We enjoy camping during the cooler months in Florida and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. At least once a year we go up to the mountains of North Carolina to visit Keith’s parents. The house overlooks a lake with the Blue Ride Mountains in the background. Hiking, biking, fishing & camping abound around the natural beauty of God’s creation. There is so much to do in this wonderful life that we rarely have a quiet weekend at home.
We cannot even begin to imagine all that is going on in your life right now, that is your cross and only you can bear it. But God promises not to give us more than we can bear; better yet God always has a plan to work our problems out for His good. Right now we, just like you, have no idea how God is going to work in our lives, the only thing we know for sure is He will provide in his own perfect timing. We stand firm on God’s promises for all of us. Jeremiah 29:11-12 "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord,,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."
