Domestic Families: Domestic adoptive parents and their teenage children will share about their adoption experience and what it is like to grow up adopted
International Families: International adoptive parents will share about the joys and challenges of raising adopted children

10:00 – 10:30Caring for a newborn – A pediatrician will speak on infant care
10:30 – 11:00Drug and Alcohol Exposure and its effects – A NICU doctor from Children’s Hospital will speak on substance exposure

11:30 – 12:00Genetics – A geneticist from St. Luke’s Hospital will speak on genes on how they pass from generation to generation
10:00 – 10:30International Families: Orphanage and Foster Care Issues – Bethany staff

1:20 – 2:15Adoptive Family – International adoptive families representing a diverse number of countries will share about their adoption experiences and give pointers on travel, how to handle the wait, culture, and the joys and challenges of the adoption experience

Pre-Adoption Support Group
We are excited to offer a Pre-Adoption Support Group for Bethany families who have an approved formal application with Bethany. This quarterly meeting is an informal session including a small educational component, but is primarily a time to connect with other families who are also in waiting in their adoption journey.
