Issues of Attachment and Bonding
Friday, November 6, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Trinity Reformed Church, Orange City, IA
Keynote Speaker: Ronald J. Nydam

This conference will benefit a wide audience from adoptive and foster parents to social workers, DHS workers, and mental health professionals. The conference will address how bonding and attachment breaks, informs, and impacts adoptive development and the adoptive family life. Some of the objectives of the conference include:
- Understand how adoptees form, develop, and reconcile their identities
- Understand how the challenges of grieving, identity formation, and patterns of intimacy effect all parties of the adoption triad (adoptive parents, birth parents, and adoptees)
- Understand how spiritual formation, relinquishment, and adoption influence one another
- Describe the challenges and implications of closed adoptions
Registration Cost:
