Bethany Christian Services’ Refugee Unit is seeking volunteer mentors to work with refugee youth in our foster care program. The youth served are placed in foster care homes or are living on their own in apartments. The location of these youth is in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Wyoming, Holland, Zeeland, and Muskegon. To ensure safety and quality services, mentors must attend an interview and orientation and agree to a background check, driving record check, and TB test. Mentors are required to spend one hour, once a week with the youth for one year. Mentors will be reimbursed for their monthly activities, up to $40 per month.
