From the Director
A Passion to Serve Children and Families
I’d like to take this opportunity to let you know a little about our ministry and philosophy. We are a ministry. We strive to minister to birthfamilies and adoptive families, as well as to the babies and children. Our mission is to find stable Christian families for babies that need homes, then to prepare and support those families through the lifetime process of adoption. Sometimes that family is an adoptive family; sometimes the birthfamily needs some extra support in order to be able to parent the child.
We have over 60 children (ages 3 days to 15 years old) across the country waiting for their families. We have over 150 children (ages 4 months to 15 years old) in other countries that are waiting. These children are waiting for families because of their race, medical condition and/or developmental delays. These children are our focus, our mission and our passion.
We also care deeply for the couples (and individuals) that come to us with a desire to adopt. We know the wait for a baby is difficult and that the adoption process can be intimidating and draining. In order to provide quality services to our families, we offer infertility counseling and adoption support groups to the community. As pro-life agency, we have recently started working in the area of Embryo Adoptions.
Of course, many of our financial resources are spent providing services to birth mothers. We offer counseling to each birth parent and often work with other family members. Often birthmothers need financial assistance with living and medical expenses. We work diligently to offer these resources or to put the appropriate community resources in place.
The bottom line is that we work towards manifesting the love and compassion of Jesus Chris by protecting and enhancing the lives of children and families through quality social services. We strive every day to improve and expand those services.
