Jonathan and Laurie - North Carolina

HELLO!

Our names are Jonathan and Laurie and we are humbled and thankful that you are taking the time to read a little bit about us. We thank you for your courage and selflessness during this difficult season in your life. Although different, each of our roads has led us here and we offer our support to you on this journey. Please know we lift you up in our prayers.

About Us: We love spending time with our wonderful friends we have made through our Church and work. We take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as hiking, bike riding and simply just being outside! Victory is shared together when we, individually or as a couple, experience accomplishments and of course we also comfort and lift each other up when we are challenged. As a team and through God’s grace we have always come through stronger because of these challenges. Please know that like you, we want what is best for your baby. We pray for an opportunity to meet you so we can get to know each other better!

Our goals as parents: We have goals of teaching a child about God’s love, showing God’s love to others, giving them a good education and providing them with the tools to pursue the dreams that he or she have. Of course we know we will make some mistakes, but we will strive to have an environment where when a mistake is made we pick up and try again. Jonathan and I are active in various community service projects and plan to one day participate as a family. We both feel it is very important to be open and honest about a child’s unique story and plan to incorporate special cultural traditions and educate them about their heritage whatever that may be. Also, I desire to be a proud stay at home mom! The love that we will have for the baby we are blessed with will be compounded by many family members and many friends!

Jonathan about Laurie: Since I have known Laurie, the thing that impresses me the most is integrity and honesty. Her honesty forces me to honest with myself, which is a blessing to me. Laurie always chooses to do the right thing. I have no doubt that she will provide an excellent role model to learn from. Laurie is also the sweetest person that I know. She is extremely good hearted and I admire her greatly for that. Laurie is one of those people who has the capability to succeed in every endeavor that she pursues. She is extremely dedicated to keeping God not only in our relationship, but with the relationships we share with family and friends. Because of her special ability to form Godly relationships, people

are attracted to her immediately and find it very easy to talk to her about any problem big or small. She is the most loving person I have ever known! Laurie loves LSU football almost as much as I do. She enjoys long distance running, taking long scenic rides, bike riding and of course shopping. (Though I can honestly say she has more fun buying gifts for other people.) She also enjoys our two dogs Jed and Greta. Laurie also enjoys laughing more than anyone I know!

Laurie about Jonathan: Jonathan is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He has a huge heart and truly cares for the well-being of other people. Jonathan always takes things as they come and continues to teach me not to worry. He proudly takes his position as my support in any circumstance. He has humbled himself by putting me first and has so boldly taken the role as the spiritual leader in our home. He served in the Army National Guard for 12 years and presented our country honorably. During his 12 years of service he was deployed to Iraq for 18 months. I am very proud of his military accomplishments. Jonathan is always the person in the crowd that will make you laugh in no time. His desire is to see people being happy and would sacrifice anything to make sure that happens. He is dependable, brave and will always be my hero and the most handsome man I know! Jonathan loves LSU football, Louisiana cooking, spending time with friends, woodworking and playing with our two awesome dogs, Jed and Greta.
