Bethany's House

Bethany's House is a Christian ministry for pregnant women, age 18 and over. It is a safe haven for adoption-minded women who find themselves in need of a home during their pregnancy.

We have been serving pregnant women since 1986, and are passionate about providing women with a place to stay during their pregnancy.

We have a House Manager that lives on site and three other part-time staff members. Each resident receives confidential pregnancy counseling on a weekly basis. Childbirth education classes are provided on site by our certified Child Birth Educator.

Accommodations
  • The house has three resident rooms with double occupancy, each room with its own private bathroom.
  • Laundry facility and supplies are provided for resident use.
  • Assistance obtaining Medi-Cal, if needed.
  • Transportation assistance or bus passes for publication available, if necessary
  • Community referrals to counseling and recovery programs available when needed.
  • A resident telephone is available for local calls.
  • Nutritious food for meals and snacks are available.

Home Economics
  • Each resident assists in regular meal preparation to learn or improve upon basic cooking skills.
  • House cleaning is a group effort. Each resident is assigned a monthly house task.
  • Each resident is responsible for keeping their room clean.

Respect for Adoption
Bethany’s House is a home for women who are going through an unplanned pregnancy. Many of the residents are considering or have already chosen to make an adoption plan for their babies. All residents are expected to respect that choice. No one is coerced or pressured to make an adoption plan.
