African-American/Biracial Adoption

Did you know that today many healthy African-American infants need permanent adoptive families? The need for African-American adoptive homes has never been greater.

Pregnant women come to Bethany seeking a better life for their baby. They may desire a two parent, Christian family or a well established, Christian, single parent. For a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy, adoption is a positive alternative to abortion or parenting before she is ready.

Some people adopt to build a family. Some adoptive parents are childless, while others simply want more children. Many people adopt because they can provide the love and nurturing a child seeks. If you have the desire to adopt an infant, please consider reaching out to a child who needs your love.

A Bethany social worker will be happy to meet with you and answer all of your questions. Biracial children may be placed with Caucasian families who live in integrated communities and are committed to preserving their child's ethnic heritage.
