International Process

  • Regular information meetings assist couples in deciding whether or not this is the way they should choose to build/expand their families
  • Adoption coordinator assists family in complying with the requirements of the country from which the couple plans to adopt
  • A local caseworker provides additional assistance; completes the adoptive family assessment
  • Adoption coordinator assist in the preparation of the dossier
  • Bethany International staff assist with the referral process and help families to make appropriate travel arrangements
  • Bethany provides the post placement services required by the country from which the child is being adopted
  • Should problems arise, Bethany provides referrals to appropriate counseling services in the community where the adoptive family resides
  • Bethany assists the family in finalizing the adoption in the United States when that is required by a particular country
