1. Bethany Fees: $5,400-$10,250 (vary by branch)
These fees include the:
  • Formal Application Fee
  • Home Study Fee: due at the completion of the Home Study
  • Program Fee/Administrative Fee: due at Home Study completion
  • Post-Adoption Services Fee: due dates vary by branch

2. China Country Fees: $9,070; $8,650 for Children of Promise
  • $1,050 CCAA Fee: due at dossier submission (The fee is $630 for children with special needs.)
  • $1,050 Referral Acceptance and Processing Fee: due upon referral acceptance

Fees due upon travel to China:
  • $5,000 (estimated) Orphanage Donation: due when you receive the child
  • $1,500 (estimated) Average Legal Fees: due in China
  • $400 U.S. Consulate Immigrant Visa Fee
  • $70 Child’s Visa Photos and Medical Exam: in China

3. China Travel Costs: $6,000 (approximate costs for 2 people)
  • Travel from the U.S. to/from China: $1,000-$1,500 per person
  • 12-14 Days in China: $1,000-$1,500 per person (includes: hotels, flights, sightseeing, one meal per day, and travel guide)

4. Miscellaneous Fees: $2,150-$2,400
  • U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Service filing of orphan petition (I 600A or I800A): $670
  • Plus biometrics-fingerprinting: $160
  • Notarization, state seal of dossier documents: $100-$200
  • Authentication (approx. $20 per document): $200-$400
  • China travel visas: ($130 per person + courier) $260 for couple
  • International mailing costs/courier services: $100
  • Certified copies of birth certificates: $40 (varies by state)
  • Certified copies of marriage certificate: $20 (varies by state)
  • Doctor’s appointments and immunizations: $160
