Carolyn Walker, M.S.
Domestic Adoption
Specialist | Carolyn Walker is originally from Texas. She spent many years in Oklahoma before moving to “higher ground” in Tennessee in July of 2006 to be closer to her daughter and two grandchildren. Her education consists of an undergraduate BS degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and a Masters in Counseling Psychology in Oklahoma from Southern Nazarene University. She has applied her education and skills in assisting individuals, children, and families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, community mental health centers, the corporate world, church, and in quality control/peer review. She believes her education, training, and varied experience is beneficial in assisting families with their individual journeys to becoming forever families.
Her position at Bethany Christian Services is as a member of the Domestic Adoption Team. In effort to serve Bethany families well, she believes a team approach is beneficial to provide information, attention, education, encouragement, training, and even comfort. As part of this adventure, she is committed to aiding families in the mechanics of the paperwork and questions surrounding the domestic adoption process, but more importantly she wants to partner with the individuals themselves that those profiles represent to bring the adoption process to a God honoring conclusion. She truly believes God has led her here and made a place for her at Bethany Christian Services.
Carolyn believes in the ministry of Bethany Christian Services, of being dedicated to finding stable Christian homes for the many babies God has entrusted to them. She also believes in ministering to the heartfelt interests of the birthparents as well as adoptive families. She states that it is a privilege to be part of something so life changing…for Bethany families as well as herself. She is grateful to be part of a remarkable staff of women and align herself with them. She looks forward to journeying with Bethany families and seeing the hand of God move. |
