Women facing an unplanned pregnancy can rely on caring, trained, and experienced counselors who will listen as well as help with exploring all the issues surrounding parenting and adoption. Our counselors offer the same support to fathers and are available to assist family members as well.
If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, we want you to find the support you feel is most helpful to move forward and make the necessary decisions along the way. We want you to be at peace with the decision you make, whether you decide on adoption or parenting. We respect your decision-making and offer a partnership approach. You are in charge of your decisions. At the same time, we realize you may need help facing some overwhelming problems. Bethany’s services make a positive difference for anyone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We hope we will be able to serve you.
If you do choose adoption, our desire is for you to select the family you feel is best suited for your child - you know this best. Also you decide about meeting the family and establishing the guidelines for ongoing communication throughout the years. Again, your peace of mind is very important to us. We highly respect those who are able to sacrifice their own needs and desires in order to provide what they feel is best for their child.
Our counselors will assist with referrals for medical care, housing, and other assistance. When appropriate, some women may be eligible for state public assistance and Medicaid. A Bethany shepherding home may be an option for housing. Our counselors will assist birthmothers who choose adoption with financial and medical support as allowed by state law.
