Litany for Mother’s Day
Let your father and your mother be glad.
And let her who bore you rejoice.
Proverbs 23:25 NKJV
Happy are the men and women You have chosen to raise Your children.
Theirs is a sacred trust, and their task is a godly calling.
The children embraced by Christian parents are blessed.
For they are Your love in the eyes of their mothers and fathers.
Oh Lord, pour out Your blessings upon each mother,
For a mother’s love is the first a child knows.
Her ways are patient and compassionate.
A mother’s gentle love endures.
Oh Lord, bless the father who cherishes his children
And guides them by the way he lives each day.
May You be each father’s source of strength and wisdom.
A father’s greatest legacy for his children is his faith.
Oh Lord, You know that parents face many challenges.
You walk with them each day as they raise their children.
May they rejoice knowing that they have received a sacred gift.
For children are a blessing beyond measure.
