Post Adoption Support Group

For parents of adopted children: domestically, internationally, or older/special needs adoptions.
This group meets monthly (dates vary) from 6:30- 8:00 p.m. at the Atlanta office.

" BE REAL"  (Building and Enhancing Relationships, Employment And Life Skills)
 
A Marriage, Relationship, and Life Skills program for married couples, engaged couples, and singles!
Services will include marriage and pre-marital education; relationship building, employment, and other positive life skills training!

GROWING AFTER ADOPTION EDUCATION GROUP

Raising adopted children is wonderful, but can be challenging. Self care for an adoptive parent is crucial for you and your child to flourish. This support group will provide a safe place to share your thoughts and feelings. We will also provide opportunities to add to your parenting skills that will address the special concerns of adoptive parents.

Subjects Addressed:
· Emotional issues of adopted children, biological children, and parents
· Attachment issues due to disrupted bond
· Reducing stress and increasing healthy family functions
· Social issues with adopted children
· Incorporating a sense of family and belonging
· Self care and relaxation techniques

There is no charge for this group!
This group is led by Bethany’s Post Adoption Coordinator, Meredith. Parents will receive training hours for attendance.
