Bethany Christian Services and the Presbyterian Church of America have had a long standing relationship.  One branch of the denomination is called the Mission to North America (MNA). Within this division, a lengthy process takes place to approve parachurch organizations.  Bethany is proud to be officially approved by the MNA for more than 15 years.  PCA churches all across the United States work at the local level with Bethany branch offices.

A few weeks ago, Rev. Johnny Carr was able to spend time with many the leaders of the PCA in Atlanta, GA at the annual Discipleship Conference.  This year we were excited to see Dr. Chuck Colson present at the conference.  He was highlighting his new book The Faith.  He said that he wanted this book to be very simple and to the point even though it discusses many deeper thoughts of theology.  The other speaker of note was Dr. Anthony Bradley.  Dr. Bradley teaches at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and is a fellow at the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, MI.  Dr. Bradley is a young man who is making a big difference in the PCA denomination.  One article he wrote was entitled The Orphan vs. The American Dream where he challenges the church to take seriously the call to care for orphans and move out of our comfort zones.  We are also proud to have Dr. Anthony on the national board of the Bethany Christian Services.
