Invitation: Haiti & Beyond National Webinar
What You Can Do to Help in the Global Orphan Crisis

With the Haiti earthquake and devastation still on all of our hearts, we are inviting you to attend a national webinar called “Haiti & Beyond” to learn more about what you can do to help the many children of Haiti and other countries around the world.

We have been overwhelmed and are so appreciative for the thousands of people who have contacted us and are interested in donating, volunteering, taking children into their homes, and so much more to help the children in Haiti.

The webinar will be from 3 to 4p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 27.

There is no charge for this webinar and the login instructions are below. This webinar is open to the public and will be recorded and available to watch online at a later date.

As our focus is on finding families to help children, please invite others who may be interested.

If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate to help make sure orphans in Haiti are having their basic needs met, please visit www.bethany.org/donate and select “Haiti-Earthquake Recovery” as your gift designation.

Webinar Login Instructions:

Using Internet Explorer, go to the following URL:
https://bethanychristianservices.on.raindance.com/confmgr/public_unsched.jsp?confId=5182910

If the link does not work, please go to www.raindance.com and click on join a meeting. Use meeting number 5182910.

At the login screen, type in your information, make sure you select Light Version. Then select Join.

Once you have joined, answer yes to the webcast question.

Additional Audio Instructions:

Please make sure you have external speakers, the volume is turned up, and it is adjusted on your computer and on the Webinar controls - three places!

In the left panel of the webinar controls, click on audio controls and start webcasting. You will be able to adjust the volume controls there.

1 - My husband is Haitian and we have been married for 12 years. We are both Christians. He is a police officer in Miami and I am a professional photographer. We have be trying to have a child for the past 10 years. Our plan has always been to adopt a child from Haiti even if were blessed with a biological child. The only issue is the fees to adopt a child (in any country). We learned that it would cost approx. 13K and up. This is unfortunate because it hinders a child from being in a loving home. My husband speaks Creole and him Haitian will keep the child close to their history. We would love to make a difference in a child's life. I pray we could be a blessing.

2 - I will try to watch the Webinar later on tomorrow. I can't watch it at 3. But if there is any info you can e-mail to me that would be great! Me and my Husband have been considering Adopting for Haiti since the earthquake. We are just not sure if the funds are there for it.

3 - I contacted Bethany log before the earthquake to enquire about the possibility of adopting from Haiti. The cost was prohibitive even though I have a house that is practically empty as I live alone and have much to offer a child. I am pursuing other avenues to adopt but would still want to be considered if there are ways to adopt easily within financial means.

I was unable to participate in the webinar but would love to get the information. Please let me know how I will be able to access the information. Thanks
