The China Team apologizes for the unusual delay in our Blog posts. Due to some recent staffing challenges and a very busy month, we have had to prioritize our work tasks. CCAA Portal Update!
LID’s through the review room: AUGUST 31, 2007 (no change)
LID’s through referral: MARCH 24, 2006
CCAA announced that families have received referrals with LID's through March 24, 2006 - advancing 2 days. Bethany received 8 “healthy” referrals. Congratulations to these families!!! Our next LID's are March 28, 2006 and April 4, 2006. We are currently awaiting referrals for expedited dossiers (Chinese families or families requesting a child over the age of six) that were submitted at the end of April, 2007.
In the month of August, The China Team has matched approximately one dozen special needs referrals from the shared portal/CCAA online entrustment system. Also, approximately two dozen children (with special needs) from our Shanghai Camp have been matched to their forever families. Praise God!!! If you are interested in learning more about our special needs adoption program, please contact your local social worker. There are many, many children that continue to wait for their forever families.
