We want to give you a brief overview of how our December was in terms of referrals, placements, etc for our Ethiopia program. We are going to work hard to give you these updates monthly - hopefully that will give some additional information about how Ethiopian adoptions for BCS are moving along.
For December we had approximately:
10 referrals - mostly infants, some toddlers.
10 family's traveling this month for their Embassy appointment.
11 children coming home this month.
80 families who have submitted their Dossier and are waiting for a referral (this is a combined number, not Dossiers just submitted in December).
We continue to be in the 12-15 month time frame in terms of "wait time" from submission of Dossier to referral. Families who are currently receiving referrals have been waiting approximately 13-14 months. I hope this information is helpful to all of our waiting families - we are working hard to give you as much information as possible.
