For those of you who speak Spanish the following attachment from La Presnsa Libre is announcing the resignation of the CNA representatives from the Berger administration.
In a press conference Anabella MorfĂn, Marvin Rabanales y Byron Alvarado announced their resignation from the CNA. This leaves only Rudy Soto Ovalle, from the Supreme Court and the new representatives named from the Colom administration with the CNA. Hopefully this will put an end to the rumors and confusion regarding two Central Authorities and unknown locations etc. From the information I have the CNA is at Casa Alianza and there is only one Central Authority.

The difficulty with the Central Authority (CNA -- National Adoption Council) has been that two of the three representatives originally named were appointed by the Berger administration. When the Colom administration came into office they replaced these two representatives. The two representatives who were removed filed amparos with the courts asking to be reinstated. The Court ruled in favor of the Colom's appointees and as mentioned above the resignations of these representatives should put an end to the uncertainties regarding who will be the representatives.
