The following statement was issued in today's Prensa Libre. Attorneys have been notified of this and are following up. This information can also be found on the Department of State website:

Today's announcement in the Prensa Libre is as follows:
NATIONAL COUNCIL OF ADOPTIONS
Informs:
The notaries that have entered their adoption application files before the 31st of December of 2007, should register them in the offices of The National Council of Adoptions, transitionally installed in the Secretary of Bienestar Social de la Presidencia, located at 32 calle 9-34, zona 11, Colonia Las Charcas, up until and including Tuesday the 12 of February 2008. They will be attended during the weekend from 9:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon.
For the notaries that delivered their files to the members of the prior Council, they should present a copy at the installations of the Secretary of Bienestar during the mentioned hours, so that they receive a registration number.
