A unique opportunity is coming again in 2010 for Adult Korean Adoptees in Seoul, Korea!  More than 1,000 Korean adoptees from around the globe will be in Seoul for the 2010 ADOPTEE GATHERING sponsored by the International Korean Adoptee Associations (IKAA).  Adoptees 19 years of age and older, spouses, significant others, and children are invited.  Watch for more details in the fall 2009 at www.ikaa.org.

Bethany's 2009 Adoptee Motherland Tour to Korea has been rescheduled to coincide with the 2010 Adoptee Gathering in Seoul, Korea scheduled for the first week of August.
A short side-trip is being planned following the Gathering through Bethany - Holt Children's Services Korea and Holt Travel Service.

Four families recently received referrals in the Korea program.  There are two families waiting for a referral since December 2007, which are the last families studied that year.  We're excited to see the progress, and soon move onto 2008 waiting families.  Also, one family welcomed home their child this week, and three more families are soon to travel.  We pray for safe travels for all involved!

Also to note, Bethany will be welcoming two foster mothers and one Holt staff  to our East Michigan & Chicago offices early next week.  Almost every year, Holt Children's Services of Korea rewards foster mothers with many years of outstanding service to the children with a trip to visit various agencies - giving them the opportunity to see the children that they cared for at the earliest part of their life!  What a blessing for the foster mothers and children and families .

Holt Children's Services of Korea will be closed on Friday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 5.  May 1 is Labor Day and May 5 is Children's day, a day for children to be celebrated!

Three families received referrals this week, three more families were also matched with waiting children, and three families are in Korea picking up their children.    God is Good!
