Dear Readers:
Late November two families brought their 3 children home that had been featured on the COP list. One was a sibling group of two boys and one was a single girl preschool girl. All children are adjusting well to their new home in the South. We are waiting for the formal referral of the boys sister to another family. What a blessing that this sibling group will be here in America together.
In November we also received word that our accreditation with Lithuania has been renewed for an additional two years when our COA accreditation expires also. We are grateful to everyone who worked so hard to bring about this renewal.
As I write a family is completing their final paperwork to bring their daughter home from Lithuania. This was a long wait, 3 years, to have their entire family home for the holidays. I think they will say it was well worth it.
Two other families with Lithuanian heritage received referral this past month. Both accepted their referrals and will bring their children (2 sibling groups of 2) home after the first of the year.
As the year ends I want to take the time to wish you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
