since 1982, providing free, confidential counseling to individuals facing an unplanned pregnancy
and adoption services for families. Both Tennessee and Georgia have licensed Bethany of
Chattanooga as a child-placing agency.

Local Adoption Grants
Thanks to a local donor, Bethany in Chattanooga has a local adoption grant fund to assist families with expenses related to adoption. Interested families should discuss the application process with their Bethany worker.
Bethany Christian Services is a not-for-profit, pro-life, Christian adoption and family services agency, supported through reimbursement for services and gifts received from individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations.
Bethany opened a branch office in Chattanooga, Tennessee in May of 1982 at the invitation of a crisis pregnancy center that had served the area in the late 1970’s. That center, known as "Choose Life," desired to provide a wider range of services that included offering adoption as an alternative to women who would choose life for their babies but for whom parenting was not a possibility.
For 60 years Bethany has been restoring, preserving, and building families through a comprehensive range of therapeutic and adoption services. With more than 70 offices nationwide and international ministries in more than a dozen countries, Bethany touches the lives of more than 20,000 people each year.
