Foster Care Training

Prospective foster parents are required to attend PRIDE (Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education) trainings prior to receiving a foster care license.  Please contact the Foster Care Department at (616) 224-7550 or Refugee Foster Care at (616) 224-7540 if you would like to RSVP to attend training.

PRIDE Schedule 2014

Parent Resource for Information Development and Education (PRIDE)
Kids in Crisis (KIC)

  • Orientations are held the first Friday morning of each month and the third Wednesday evening of each month.
  • Light refreshments are served for each Session.
  • In the case of inclement weather, trainings will be cancelled if Grand Rapids Public Schools are closed.
