Bethany Christian Services can help refugee families deal with the stress of resettlement, family problems, grief, loss, post-trauma, and adjustment to your new life. Our experienced staff can meet with you to discuss possible solutions, provide supportive counseling, and find ways to connect you to resources in our community.

Our services through Refugee Adjustment Services (RAS) are available to refugees who have been resettled in West Michigan within the last five years. Services are available at no cost to all refugees who reside in Kent County. RAS is funded by the State of Michigan. If you resettled more than five years ago, we will refer you to resources in the community. Let us know how we can best serve you in your adjustment to living in the U.S.

What services does RAS provide?

RAS can help you by:

Providing bilingual and bicultural staff who offer confidential, culturally sensitive supportive services. Interpreters are available as needed.
Linking mentors and volunteers with refugees to provide additional support.
Helping refugees locate resources in our community that will help them meet their needs.
