Why We Are Thankful
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, we are reminded of the many blessings we receive each day.
I am thankful for the opportunity to see my sense of calling intersect with my vocation. I also work with some of the most dedicated people who assist others who are going through some of the most difficult times in their lives. This makes me very grateful.
I'm grateful that people are compelled to support us through various avenues—for those who pray, those who give monetarily, and those who encourage us along the way. The seeds they sow in earnest yields fruit in the lives of children and family throughout the world.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve folks from diverse backgrounds whose stories are just as diverse. I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet people at their point of need and walk alongside them in their journeys toward reconciled family structures. Because surely I know that if it were not for the grace of God, it could be me.

I'm thankful for my work at Bethany because the mission and vision resonates so clearly with what God says is important. My life is fulfilled through Bethany. For our donors who demonstrate loyalty for our mission, self-sacrifice for those in need, and generosity and grace that reflects the heart of God. And for our staff and their unconditional love and commitment to children!
Pete Knibbe, Vice President, Donor Engagement
I have been SO thankful to work as part of a ministry that is able to be the hands of feet of Christ to care for children in need of families. In a broken world with so much pain, brokenness, and sin, Bethany is a wonderful place providing rest and healing for children in need of a loving family. I am so thankful to the many thousands of Bethany donors who have it possible for this ministry to care for children for nearly 70 years and Lord willing, for 70 years and more into the future.
Marc Andreas, Vice President, Client Marketing
I’m thankful for friends and colleagues at Bethany. They are deeply committed to the mission and are one of the reasons that I love working at Bethany. Their ideas and experiences, which they generously share, enrich the lives not only of their clients but of all of us.
Kristine Faasse, Director, Adoption Services
I am very thankful to be able to come to work every day with my core Christian beliefs completely aligned and in-sync with the purpose of my work.
I am very thankful for the privilege of helping people steward resources that they have authority and responsibility over toward providing healthy, loving families for every child in the world.
I am very thankful for being an employee of Bethany Christian Services, where professionalism, sound business principles, a Gospel-centered mission and the power of the Holy Spirit are all working together with me in the name of Jesus Christ!
Bruce T. Hakim, Regional Donor Engagement Director
Thank you for supporting our mission. Together, we are the hands and feet of Christ to the least of these.
