Give a child the opportunity for a family and a future.

Lithuania
In Lithuania:
Bethany has placed Lithuanian children in loving, adoptive homes since 2002. The majority of adopted children from Lithuania are older children or children with identified special needs. In 2008, Bethany received the “Pride of Lithuania Award” for matching many Lithuanian children with special needs to families in the United States.
Our greatest need in Lithuania currently is to raise more funds in support of Caring Connection grants for children with special placement needs. If you feel compelled to help the children of Lithuania, please designate your donation to Lithuania. Your gift can help bring a family together.

Sponsor a child in Eastern Europe:
Can you extend a hand in love to a child or family in need?
Families and communities benefit in tangible ways from
sponsorship. Through Bethany, your money provides direct
and specific care based on the individual needs of a family.
When you sponsor through Bethany, you will join a group
of sponsoring individuals to provide the level of care that is
needed.

Adoption requirements in Lithuania:
Adoptive parents must be between 25 to 47 years of age at dossier submission. The age difference between the parent and child can be 18 to 45 years. Lithuania follows the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service requirements for income.
Two trips of seven to 14 days are required. Both parents must travel for the first trip. One parent may make the second trip to complete the immigration process, although we strongly recommend that both parents travel. A U.S. passport is required for travel to Lithuania. If you are considering international adoption, visit our international adoption page or download the adoption guide. If you are ready to take the first step, begin by completing the preliminary application.
