Give a child the opportunity for a family and a future.

Bethany is about children having strong, loving families.
Bethany envisions a world where every child has a loving family.
Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit organization caring for orphans and vulnerable children on five continents. Bethany is recognized as a prominent leader in social services worldwide, and we are the largest adoption agency in the U.S. Founded in 1944, our mission calls us to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by protecting and enhancing the lives of children and families around the world. Our comprehensive services include adoption, foster care, counseling, training, and family support. We believe that children thrive in safe, loving, supportive families and are committed to finding forever families for children in need.
Why we do what we do.
Bethany Christian Services
manifests the love and
compassion of Jesus Christ
by protecting and enhancing
the lives of children and
families through quality
social services.
Where we work:
Around the globe.
We are blessed to serve throughout the world including many locations in the United States. To see where we work visit our Locations page.
We honor and appreciate cultural diversity.
Bethany believes that ethnic and cultural diversity is taught and commanded by God and that as Christians, we have a responsibility to reach out to each other across racial, cultural, and ethnic boundaries to further His Kingdom.
In addition, we believe that cultural diversity and cultural competence within our staff and boards are strengths that protect children, empower individuals to grow, and help Bethany achieve excellence.
We are committed to these principles.
Bethany staff, board members, and volunteers will openly support and hold each other accountable for adhering to these principles:
- Bethany will serve children and families of all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Bethany will expand the knowledge of its board members, staff, volunteers, and clients regarding cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity.
- Bethany will recruit board members and hire staff members who affirm the value and equality of individuals from all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Bethany will be culturally and racially diverse and sensitive in all its forms of communication, both internal and external.
