Sponsor a child or a family in need:
Can you extend a hand in love to a child or family
in need? Families and communities benefit in
tangible ways from sponsorship. Through Bethany,
your money provides direct and specific care
based on the individual needs of a family. When
you sponsor through Bethany, you will join a group
of sponsoring individuals to provide the level of
care that is needed.

Adoption requirements in South Korea:
Adoptive parents must be between 25 and 43 years of age. The minimum length of marriage is three years and no more than one divorce per spouse is allowed. Families with up to four children in the home are eligible to adopt. South Korea follows the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service requirements for income.
Bethany requires that at least one parent travels to South Korea for four to seven days to bring the child home. We strongly encourage both parents to travel. A U.S. passport is required for travel to South Korea. If you are considering international adoption, visit our international adoption page or download the adoption guide. If you are ready to take the first step, begin by completing the preliminary application.

About South Korea:
Located in eastern Asia, against the Sea of Japan, South Korea became independent of Japan in 1945. Also bordered by the Yellow Sea and occupying the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, South Korea has been "separated" from its Northern counterpart by a demilitarized zone since 1953. South Korea runs about 14 hours ahead of EST (UTC+9.)
