Since 1982, Bethany has partnered with Holt Children’s Services of Korea to offer sponsorship, adoption, post-adoption services, pregnancy counseling, foster care, maternity homes, childcare centers, and a nursing home for people with disabilities. Additional social service programs have included community welfare centers and projects.  Bethany is serving children and families in South Korea through:

Located in eastern Asia, against the Sea of Japan, South Korea became independent of Japan in 1945. Also bordered by the Yellow Sea and occupying the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, South Korea has been "separated" from its Northern counterpart by a demilitarized zone since 1953. South Korea runs about 14 hours ahead of EST (UTC+9.)
