Give a child the opportunity for a family and a future.

Taiwan
In Taiwan:
Bethany partners with Cathwel Services to facilitate international adoptions, provide counseling for birthfamilies, and offer foster care for orphans and children with disabilities. Cathwel operates several facilities including a nursery and The Jonah House Orphanage. Bethany is dedicated to finding loving families for orphaned and abandoned children in Taiwan.
Bethany is serving children and families in Taiwan through:
- Adoption
- In-country foster care
- Family support services
Our greatest needs in Taiwan right now, are to raise more funds in support of in-country support and to go toward Caring Connection grants for children with special placement needs. Your gift can help bring a family together.

Adoption requirements in Taiwan:
Preference is given to adoptive applicants between the ages of 30 and 49. Older applicants may be considered for older children or children with special needs. There must be at least 20 years between the ages of the parents and the child to be adopted. Couples must be married at least five years. Preference may be given to families with two or fewer children in the home. Taiwan requires that applicants demonstrate a sufficient income. Taiwan follows the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service requirements for income.
At least one parent must travel for a four- to seven-day stay in Taiwan. We strongly encourage both parents to travel. A U.S. passport is required for travel to Taiwan. If you are considering international adoption, visit our international adoption page or download the adoption guide. If you are ready to take the first step, begin by completing the preliminary application.
